the dawn is no way comparable to any Disney cruise, maybe only size of the ship.
hell of a lot cheaper, though

I like cruises a lot and do not feel like I am surrounded by those people.

If you don't like them, then don't go on them.

It depends on the person. If you spend money and have a great time then it might not be a waste of money. If you are one who rather stay home doing nothing but bitch about wasting money on a cruise you didn't go on because you are worried what others think then it can differ.

Only ways to get on DCL cheap is to go on a short cruise our of Port Canaveral then get the 20% off next cruise deal. Book when they release schedule or book GTY rates about 2 months out (not always available).

The Fantasy is a really nice cruise ship (I think its rated #1) that will go to Tortola and PR and their private island or St Thomas, St Marteen and their PI.

They do have a Southern Caribbean on one of their older ships but with those port heavy cruises I would just as soon book with a much cheaper cruise since you are not on the ship much at all. If you have kids DCL is one you want a lot of sea days so they can visit with the characters and do all the Disney stuff.

Oh BTW not sure if you are aware Disney doesn't allow free reign of booze anymore. You now are limited to 1 6 pack of beer and 2 bottles wine last I checked.

You know cruises are extremely cheap right?

Call them trashy or whatever but they are most certainly not a waste of money.

This was my thought.

They used to have nude decks on some ships for sunbathing I believe but don't think anyone does that anymore.

Do you really want the germs in a strip club on a cruise ship though? Sounds like a bad idea.

Everyday Walmart has 100,000,000 shoppers. There are about 320,000,000 people in this country.

Make fun of "Walmart Shoppers" all you want, but that's really EVERYBODY!!!

I feel like it is time for one of those.

This is a weird thread considering 99% of this board probably thinks of you as a Carnival Cruise type of dude

There are outbreaks on those things all the time. All it takes is for one person to get on there with something. Stripper germs only make the immune system stronger.

What vacations does the OT consider not trashy?

And you would know how trashy all the folks are how? You would know how boring it is how?

I've never cruised but your statements are more trashy than the folks on the cruise.

Next time you go to Wal-Mart think to yourself "Would I want to spend a week on a boat with these people?" because that is what these cruises basically are, being on a boat in the middle of the ocean with a bunch of riff raff, undesirables, and trash.
WTF kind of cruises are you going on?

It may not be the most elite crowd, but it's just normal folks basically. Walmart crowd, no clue where you've been to come up with that.

I have been on one cruise and it was a fun experience.
Like the one poster said, if you can't have fun on a cheap cruise, the issue is not the cruise, it's you not being a very fun person.
