New York for After Christmas

Wife and I are looking to plan a quick 3-4 night trip to New York between Christmas and New Years. I have a lot of Hilton points, so prefer to use those on this trip. Right now looking at properties between Time Square and Central Park. We've never been, so any suggestions are appreciated.

Went to Excellence in Playa Mujeres a couple of years ago. Same concerns about local violence that time but had no problems at all. Of course, stayed on property the entire week.

Renting a house on False River for a quick weekend trip in a couple of weeks. Taking my 80yo dad who hasn't been fishing in years but used to love it. Our plans right now are to just relax and wet a pole at the end of the pier at the house. Any other recommendations?

Stayed at Royal Plantation in June. Very small property next to Ochi. Went to Ochi for sushi one night. Looked nice, but very large. Seemed that people who stayed there had to take buses to get around.

Need to replace home HVAC. Replacing a Trane installed in 2007. Will cost +$14k to replace with another Trane. Other alternative is an Armstrong for ~$10k.

Wife and I planning a trip for October and looking for all inclusive resort in the Caribbean. Bungalow over the water would be cool. Don't really want to fly all the way to Fiji for bungalow.

A plane ride is a plane ride. Service is comparable to others. Just be prepared to pay for the extras, IF you want them (snacks, beverages, carry on, etc.).
