I can't believe how short sighted and selfish this whole OP is. You know there are capacity limits on just about every retailer. They can only let so many people in. People like myself are working and can only shop on specific days. So you want people to wait outside while you bring children to browse around the store? Thats just F'd up. Make a list, go in the store by yourself, move quickly, get your shite and go. Or just order online and pick it up. Its not hard..

Take her to the local bike shop

I haven't found a single bike shop open here in Houston. Better bet would probably be to purchase online and have it delivered.

My wife tried to go to the Dollar Tree yesterday. They wouldn’t let our son in.

I’m glad I don’t live in an authoritarian shithole like some of you apparently do. No lines at sams, Costco, Whole Foods, Publix, Kroger, etc. only restriction is two people per Costco membership.

This reminds me of the time I learned that Delta Airlines won't let you change seats if you're sitting next to a crying kid if the kid is yours...

You should have thought of that before you dipped your unprotected wick.

Wouldn’t be surprised.
Wife and I went the other day, she was shopping for her parents, I was going to do our grocery bill.
One person per vehicle (they were my monitoring this). Said I’d wait my turn to go in.
Nope one person per vehicle.
Asked, so if my wife would have given our neighbor a ride could they get in.
Nope one person per vehicle.
Guess it’s better for more cars on the road.

It’s Walmart, so your rules have to be clear and consistent, even if a bit unreasonable.

We leave our kid at home in front of the TV when we make big groceries.

Academy usually sells bikes. Not sure if they’re out now but I’m pretty sure they’re open.

I call total bullshite on the OP's story. So they told you that the kid had to stay outside or wait in the car while you went in? Riiiiight

Let her shop online do in-store pickup. Pretty simple, really. No need to increase exposure just to shop.

Academy has better bikes than Walmart.
I purchased one last week and did curbside pick up.
When I got there they had 30 or so people waiting in line to get in and some count was chewing out the poor guys at the door who were handling the line duties.

I had my bike within 5 minutes of pulling up
