You can see shadows. But the guy never appears standing up right in the video.

I never saw him slip face first.

It’s not crowded at all. A cop was standing right there. The float was moving at a a very safe and slow rate of speed.

City and Parade people don’t seem negligent in anyway.

Seems like it’s 100% fault of the decedent.

The fact that someone was crushed to death and likely had family there to witness it (along with other parade goers including children) seems pretty sad to me.

I'm not saying it's not a sad situation for some people, I'm just saying its not sad to me. Idk the guy.

I don’t think he’s saying you should be sad. Just some respect for the situation. Freak accident that likely took someone’s father, uncle, brother or son.

It’s like the Kobe thing- Everyone around me was acting like it was a relative that died and I said to my wife “I just don’t get why anyone acts like a famous ball player dieting should make them upset, it has nothing to do with them”

Her response “At some point in time he had to look his baby girl in the eyes and know they were both about to die”

It’s not about being sad for the person. Just having a human element of respect for someone

At 15 seconds can see him fall. In between floats. Easier to see at regular speed. To left hand side of video.

Yes and at 16-17 sec you can see movement on the ground between the floats. It’s the street then something/someone in it.

I'll never understand how people ate hit by things like floats or trains.

I say this all the time about different things—but people like you who don’t understand it and think it can’t happen to them are the very people it happens to.

The #1 factor is that alcohol was most likely involved. Do you drink? Then it can happen to you. The #2 factor is that a distraction was occurring. Do you sometimes get distracted?

I don’t understand the need to refer to “Darwin” when some poor guy dies in an accident, especially one where he was apparently just enjoying a parade.

I see it now. Around that 14 sec mark he runs up to the first float, must fall down and gets hit by the front of the 2nd float around the hitch area of the tandem, then the riders start pointing down at him.

The man you see running appears to be running up to the front of the float to notify the driver. The two first guys on the second float are already motioning by the time they come into frame. Pretty sure the victim was under the float being dragged through this video.

Idk it's sad all around. Some lady on that Twitter link for the video is claiming the deceased was pushed.

Yeah thats what I see too. Someone else said the 2nd guy on the 2nd float was bringing his arm down to hand off a bead, but it looks nothing like that. The guys are pointing down obviously motioning at the guy under the float. I think the dude's under the float the entire video

Dumb comment. I can’t tell you how many stupid, stupid things I did when I was in my late teens/early 20s that could have easily killed me. This guy was just likely drunk and met a shitty end. Sometimes you’re just unlucky, or lucky in my case.

We also don't know how many children he sired, perhaps he was quite evolutionarily successful.
