Look at the video in slow mo with his description. You will see the 2 black shoes sticking out from bottom of float. The guys on the float are pointing directly down at him

The one and only thing I changed in my edit was changing the word "the" to "they" in the last sentence.

This. I'll never understand how people ate hit by things like floats or trains. You see them coming. They are huge. You have to actively get in their way to get hit.

As soon as you see the guys on the float and hear them screaming get him get him. Pause it
Look for a guy standing holding a kid. Locate his leg and follow it down to his foot. Look just to the right of his foot and you can see the feet protruding from under the float.
