I really don't think so. You really just have to know these people.. I saw them cut one girls hours from 5 days down to only one day a week cause they said she flirted with the customers too much and had started calling her a whore.

Let the company name out man. I am really curious if what you say is true. Obviously not pharma sales.

It's a small mom and pop type store man.. And as much as I am pissed at them right now I don't believe in publicly bashing them.. if I wanted to do that I'd do it on facebook.

I'm sorry, but if this is any half way decent sales organization, they're not going to really give a frick if you're late to work. The best salesmen don't work hard, they work smart. They know how to get the money, they know how to appeal to people, and that really don't mean being there every day from 8-5.

If they are paying a $50 bonus for top salesman, then they are not a decent sales organization.

Honestly, I'm in NA as well and it'd be good to know who not to take business to.

If you're in the same city as me you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something else. Good luck.

No it wasn't a restaurant... and no it wasn't a great job... but I promise that was all there was to it. Outside of the two managers (who the owner can't really fire cause she doesn't even have the ability to do my job much less theirs) I'd managed to stay there longer than anyone else.

All I know is there are an awful lot of self-proclaimed ot ballers that punch a clock and are strangely proud of doing just that.

He was making $50 bonuses in sales. Seriously, used car salesmen make 10 times that per sale, if not more. This is a great day for the OP. Now go get a real job.

As soon as I get another job I'll let you know.. never know they may call me tomorrow and want me back... Not that I want to go back, but would be nice to have income while searching.

What the frick kinda managees do you people have?

Ring ring ring

Hello?

Hey boss something came up, I'm running late

Cool man, drive safe, see you soon.

Click.

If you want to be on time every day that's perfectly fine, I admire your drive, but to not have the ability to do the above is not good job security.

The types that don't wanna come in for me on their off day.

Hell, I got written up for telling a manager the owner told us we couldn't do something anymore, and he got upset about it and threatened to quit.. so I got written up for gossip and upsetting an employee. They're crazy.

They also tried to write me up for being on the internet, when the only reason I was on the internet was to explain to the owner how to send a email attachment.

Dude. You do realize there are shitty bosses and/or owners? And second to third generation family small businesses are ripe for this type of behavior.
Truth, admitted in full.

And these are perfect targets to beat at their own game. Access to start-up capital is out there for folks who have any real desire and skill.

There are also some second and third generation businesses where the owners know they aren't managers (or don't want to put in the time) and are willing to sit back and let qualified folks make them more money.

Challenges can hide opportunities.

Yeah I really should have... My first pay check they tried to overpay me by about 200 dollars cause at the time the owner added up our time.. I was nice and caught it and told them about it...

Go to a car dealership, if you have legitimate sales experience, you'be working in a matter of days. It can suit you well until you figure something else out.

That sucks. We have a point system which works quite well. 3 points and your fired but your points are cleared 6 months after earning the point.
