Trooper got me a few years ago. Gave me a ticket and told be to bring the car by with a new sticker by the end of the day and he'd toss the ticket.

This reminds me: I gotta remember to leave my new insurance card in the car. It was effective 1/1/23.

Glad we dont have inspection stickers anymore in Oklahoma. That was always a pain having to go do that.

How do you prove your sticker without driving into court?
You don’t get a receipt. You can take a picture but why can’t you just take a picture of any window?

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time

The one I had in my truck was expired by a day. He made a comment about that and I told him I had a copy of the updated on my phone. He didn't even look at it.

Today is the 4th. The first was a holiday and a Sunday, and they don't issue stickers in the rain/bad weather. The week before that was Christmas and icey. I'd fight it. That is bullshite and that cop must hate his life.

I could speed up to 20 mph and only pay $30 more than what I'm paying now(granted if my inspection sticker was up to date)

Pro tip- the fine for not having one at all is cheaper than the fine for an expired one

I don't even have a physical card in my vehicle. They can look you up and see if you’re insured though.
I had a cop pull me over for running a stop sign a few years ago. It was a BS ticket, I did everything but rock back. My inspection sticker was a few days expired too but he said he'd only give me the stop sign ticket.
My wife told me I was a moron and should have asked him to just give me the inspection ticket since it's not a moving violation. Never crossed my mind.

A few years ago I had a sheriff pull a U-turn literally in the middle of one of our busiest streets to write me an inspection sticker ticket. My dad was actually in the car and he got all nervous.
The cop also lied and told me that if I didn't pay the ticket before the court date I'd go to jail

It's a fricking tax on people who have enough money to not care about needing one.
How in the flying frick do those Mexicans drive those shite caravans of broke down shite across the whole country? I've NEVER seen one pulled over and I had a friend who was killed by one losing one of his tow cars.

I don't really worry about mine much. If I notice it's expired I'll get it whenever it's convenient. I probably should just cut an orange index card about the same size as the failure sticker and tape it up there.

I bought my last road pirate sticker in LA 22 years ago. I was paying a little more than 1/3 of my income for taxes and insurance, so I moved to a little more citizen-friendly state.
I was also sick of having to pay fees every time I had to interact with the govt. Pay to give anything to them. Pay to get anything from them.

Cops’ main job is extract fines from average citizens to support their own existence.

I have always heard that you had 30 days grace because technically they are not suppose to issue inspection stickers when it is rain because they are suppose to do a road test even though no one does. So if it is raining on the last day of the month they cannot give you a sticker. Inspection stickers are a shady business for cops. Back in the day when my brother was in HS he had a Ponchatoula cop give him a ticket for a sticker that still had 3 months before it expired. He went to city court to fight it. Judge walked out to his truck and saw the sticker, walked back in and told the cop that if saw him again in his court he would have his badge. 1970's was a lot different.
