Were you a dick to the cop?
Many, many years ago Virginia required inspections every six months. I noticed that my inspection sticker was expired and I decided to see how long I could go.
I got pulled over in Arlington one afternoon and the cop said, your inspection sticker expired last month. I said, "look closer, it expired two years ago." I told him I was trying to see how long I could go.
He chuckled and said, "I have to give you a ticket, but if you bring in an updated inspection sticker to the police department before the court date, I'll tear up the ticket."
I did and he did.

Denham?
Denham cops will totally bust your arse for expired inspection. I moved out here from BR all naive with a sticker two years expired. First month I was here “welcome to the LP”…big ticket. They reduced by about half if I went and got a sticker and showed proof.
We never let ours lapse now, but curse the racket that is the vehicle inspection law regularly. Less of that bullshite will be a plus when we move out of here.

BRPD? Those frickers actually wrote a ticket? Must’ve been a rookie. I haven’t seen them do Jack shite since the circus monkey in charge took over.

Mine is expired by 3yrs

That shite is the biggest fricking scam, bootlickers love these pig cops and say “does it please the crown?”

The same dumbazz has stopped me at least 6 times since early December in DS in the antique district for not having an inspection sticker. You’d think by now he’d remember that the antique vehicle with the antique plates doesn’t need an inspection sticker. I mean seriously how many red 1953 Chevy trucks does the dude think are running around on the streets there.

Not about being lazy. It’s about sticking it to the man. The guberment gets enough of our money as is. That’s how I see it.
There was a push a few years ago in the state legislature to do way with the inspection sticker law.
Modern vehicles largely make the yearly inspection requirement outdated. However, inspection businesses cried about losing revenue.
So, our “small government” legislators shelved the repeal, and kept the requirement.

The key is to just not have one. They’ll assume you don’t live here.

Absolutely not. Dude popped a U turn like he was going on a high speed pursuit. He wasn't a dick either, just no leeway. I just asked about the grace period.

What?? Do you think you are above the fricking law?????

That's the thing, the sun peeled my sticker off so you can't even see it without really looking for it.

So glad when I moved to MS no longer had to put up with that BS inspection. Although I daily see vehicles on the road that should be in scrap yards.

Honest question..
I got my new truck recently from TX.
I haven’t gone and gotten an inspection sticker. If I don’t get one.. they wouldn’t stop me for it right?
