I had the same thing. Was told my whole life that we had a Native American ancestor, yet the test came back 0%. Same for Irish. Not a drop.

Back in elementary, I remember all of the white boys that hunted always claimed they were part indian. I doubt any of them were.

Our big sister used to tell our baby sister she was adopted. Saying she was native american is similar. Not one of us.

But for the concern about cloning and other nefarious shite being done with my DNA, I would like to give this a shot. I know I have two full blooded Indians in my family tree (Cherokee and Choctaw great-great grandmothers)

The mailman isn't listed in the family tree.
Seriously, though, I wonder how many siblings have done this and all had similar results... except that one that doesn't look like the others. It should lead to interesting conversations with mom.

man, I don't know! But you're right, pretty much every black person I knew growing up knew there was some indian in the family tree.
My only guess is or one or both of their parents were slaves and they didn't actually know for sure.
