This isn’t the place for a question like this if you really believe or are really wanting to understand. Not because you can’t or won’t get the answer. But because you incite people to express their most disgusting thoughts often blaspheming which is detrimental to their souls. Some people cannot help themselves- they may not be fully culpable- yet it is still a wound.
Catholic Answers or Word on Fire are ministries that can clearly answer your questions.
Blessings.

Unless you die from pain, you obviously endured it.

My wife who is a staunch Catholic said she’s never heard of this. Mary was a person, not a God. If Jesus felt pain I’m sure Mary did too. Not sure where that Pope in 1100 got that from?

Well of Alexander said it almost 1100 years later, then it must be

In an ironic twist, God sent her a doula, which we know in Greek translates to slave. It was either that or a Caesarean, which would also be a God prank.

The idea is that the pain of childbirth is punishment for original sin. If Mary was born without original sin (that is, the Immaculate Conception) then logically she would have no pain giving birth.

Then she's not a very staunch Catholic, or she's just not that smart. I'm not saying that she has to believe it.

A woman in labor experiences almost as much pain as a man with a cold.

Maybe Mary’s mother lied to her.

Let's not pretend some heavy shite wasn't just dropped here on the collective conscience of the OT.

Mary was a human sinner like the rest of us. Of course she had pain it was childbirth.

[Mary,] indeed conceived without shame, gave birth without pain, and went hence without corruption, according to the word of the angel, or rather [the word] of God through the angel, so that she should be proved to be full, not merely half filled, with grace and [so that] God her son should faithfully fulfill the ancient commandment that he had formerly given, namely, to treat one’s father and mother with honor.
This is ridiculous.
And frankly, I’m not sure why it even matters.
My 2 cents however, Mary, being human and a sinner, experienced all the same pains and uncomfortableness in pregnancy and childbirth as any other woman. Christ, being fully man, experienced all the pains that men feel as well.
