There was no rope. The police have already released that is was a heavy string, suitable for a clothesline.
I am guessing white, 3/16" nylon braid, with some kind of sloppy, ineffective knot. I usually use a prusik when it is well below freezing, 2 am, and I am hunting a C list celebrity to pretend to slap around.
