That is the Super penalty. The judge in The Super (movie) sentenced Joe Pesci (playing a slumlord) to live in one of his own apartments.

Fatties love to sue almost as much as they like eating.

Class actions are a joke anyway. The damaged aren’t compensated, but the lawyers make bank.
All of this scam advertising should be required to provide honest and proper packaging and advertising. People would probably be more diligent with their spending.

$.79 chillitos were the "I have no money" dinner in HS. They were also twice as big as the present day Burrito Supreme.

What food advertisement isn't exaggerating something?
Pizza places exaggerate the toppings on their commercials by at least 25%.
There are tons of videos where they show how fast food joints paint stuff on to make the food look better.
This is somewhat absurd since this is classic "everyone is doing it but let's only pick and choose one place to go after"

Yet we allow real estate agents to exaggerate the size of properties they sell with stretched photos. One can only hope that the same thing happens to them.

I work for a German based company and the people that visit from there say the fast food quality in the US is exponentially better than in Germany.
I'm interested to try it out for myself.

Yep, and I like their food. So I head into the crucible, knowing the experience will suck.

People suing over Whopper size tells you all that you need to know about the state of this country today.

So wait the burgers really aren’t this big:
Next thing you are going to tell me is that this guy isn’t actual royalty:

Those would be a refund request. Look gross, anyway, despite the false advertising.

I'm suing the lumber companies bc I want a 2x4, not the reduced size they give me. The world knows that's how ads work.

These cases always get dismissed at some point. Advertisers are legally allowed to engage in "puffery" plus the thing they photograph for ads isn't even edible food - it's a prop built by an artist out of materials that photograph well. The juices are some glistening agent they spray on the silicone patty.
It's like suing movie studios for using CGI to falsely portray that Superman is real and can move faster than a speeding bullet.
Now what they can't do is make specific claims or promotions. Putting out an add that says "the tastiest burger ever!" is fine, even if that's bs. Putting out an ad that says "buy two, get one free" or "our patties are 100% certified angus beef with no filler" obligates you to perform on that enticement.

The plaintiffs in those lawsuits are being represented by the same lawyers that are arguing the claims against Burger King.
These lawyers have found a niche and are chasing a goldmine. They’re filing suits all over the country in favorable districts hoping to get the right judge to allow them to proceed. All they need is one case to progress to a class action ruling that awards millions of dollars.
