Officials say they received multiple 911 calls reporting that a man was standing on the corner, making “obscene gestures” at passing drivers, walking in and out of traffic and approaching drivers’ vehicles.
In response, deputies were deployed, the first of which to arrive on scene was a female deputy. She attempted to arrest the man, later identified as Le Chau, but was allegedly met with violent resistance, resulting in a struggle that went to the ground.
Chau is being charged with resisting an officer with force or violence, battery on a police officer and disturbing the peace by intoxication.
He is also being charged with battery of a Correctional employee and resisting an officer with force or violence.
JPSO says Le has also been arrested over 20 times since 2014 and has multiple convictions for resisting an officer.

Dex supports the criminal, no doubt.

Stomping the guy's head is a bit excessive.

You take a female officer to the ground and a male officer has to come deal with you, you can expect a beat down, especially if you are still resisting.

I have a funny feeling it was payback for someone.

He tried to gouge the female deputies eyes out prior to the male officer getting there.

Compared to a well deserved shot to the head?

If you don't want your head stomped, then perhaps... and I'm just spitballing here... but perhaps you ought not resist arrest can commit battery on a police officer. That'd be a good starting point, would it not?

He’s entitled to give his fist a rest.

After 40 years of training, the standard is still use of force necessary to effect the arrest. Fighting , nor the results, are normal to most people. Body camera will resolve this.

A part of me thinks that stomping the head is excessive anther part of me thinks you should get checked when you cross the line.

Women can’t handle themselves in situations like this. They should not be police officers. It’s a man’s job.

Why can’t they do this to the big fat beasts that steal from shopping malls?

While the guy deserved the beating, the officer chose poorly with the head stomp.
A couple punches would have been fine but head stomping is rarely excused.

The dude was laying on the ground not going anywhere.
A cop should be a bit above World Star Waffle House "fascinating behavior" videos.

Do you think there was less crime when cops could beat you with their billy clubs? People used to fear cops…not so much anymore.

Reminds me of the story of Esteban Carpio. He was arrested and being interviewed by a detective. A fight e sued and he killed the detective with his own weapon. Jumped out of a second story window. Cops caught him not far away and beat the guy almost to desth(deserved it). They put a spit mask on him when he went to court to try and hide some of it. His family was outraged….not about him killing a cop.
