I had the Janssen 2 weeks ago. Thankfully my blood is treated with anticoagulant bourbon.

You have three vaccines. Two permanently alter your genetic makeup. One does not. I predicted that there would start being bad press about the one that doesn’t and that they would stop letting us take that one. It happened.

Me and you were thinking the same thing

considering we are the only two healthcare professionals, more than likely, in this thread, and everyone else is just talking out of their arse/spreading bullshite they heard on the favorite brand of news, it's not entirely surprising that we arrived at the same conclusion....

hope all is well, ma'am...

Some are posting in this thread(those that think the mRNA vaccine permanently alters your genetic code...wow...how fricking dumb do you have to be to believe that??)

Trying to argue with them is futile. It’s like trying to debate a brick fricking wall. Or a liberal.

I predicted this on another board. The J&J vaccine is the traditional vaccine. They don’t want you taking that one. They want you to take the mRNA vaccines. Hence, all the bad press lately and now this after a mere handful of problems compared to the other two.

Tin foil hat is on tight this morning, eh?

Ok I signed up for the J&J vaccine yesterday. Assuming that is still allowed to take place on Thursday, I assume I have no concerns since I'm a 36 year old man with no health issues.

Seems like quite an overreaction

It's the Dunning–Kruger effect. Paradoxically, I am guilty of it by merely pointing out Dunning-Kruger.

The fact is the mRNA vaccines instruct the cells to build a spike protein that was not there before and in and of itself has no relation to Covid. This protein remains and there is some research that believes it is inheritable. Is that permanent genetic modification? I guess it is semantics. But you, and possibly your offspring, will now have a particular spiked protein that you didn’t have before made on instructions received in a mRNA vaccine instead of an immune response to an accentuated virus.

Do you know how virus work? The inject rna into your cells with instructions to make more of the virus

This just instructs your body to make the spike protein part of the virus and then your immune system nukes it

6 out of 6.8 million? Hmmm that's only %0.00000088 chance you get a clot. I'll take those odds any day! I bet you'd get the same or greater with placebo.

These vaccines are completely safe, and if you don’t believe that, you’re a backwoods simp.

Please tell me how you know this? Do you understand the definition of completely? or Safe?

Come again? Moderna is banned?

Just say the 6 women were really fat, then they won’t care

That’s how it was with COVID deaths with these folks...their death from COVID doesn’t matter if person was big.

The people lumping everyone that laments the governments ham-handed, draconian measures into the same group that doesn’t trust the vaccine are almost as melodramatic and simple as the vaccines alter your DNA crowd

That’s how it works. There’s hardly ever any middle ground with anything anymore. Just reading this thread for the lulz from both sides

I’m young and healthy so I don’t have to worry about the China virus or effects of the vaccine. RIP and prayers to all of y’all.

222/34,000,000=0.00065294% or 1 in 170,000. To put this in college football terms, if you had a packed William Bryce Stadium and a packed Jordan Hare Stadium and everyone got the J&J vaccine, the odds say 1 person would have blood clots from it.

Not saying there aren’t more people with these side effects and that we don’t need to study why these side effects occurred, but that’s a very low percentage

Is that even outside the threshold of normal amount of people that get blood clots? Seems hard to make that statistically relevant.

Nope, not semantics at all. It's a fact that the vaccine does not alter one's genetic code. Cluelessness is not excused by claiming semantics.

Except Moderna hasn't been discontinued anywhere I'm aware of. You're thinking of the Astra-Zeneca, which is a traditional vaccine similar to Johnson and Johnsons.
