He said it in opening statement, someone vaguely asked about it, he doubled down and said he's putting Louisiana on notice due to CDC recommending 8 weeks

Yeah this is fricking ridiculous.

Either there is something the government isn’t telling us about this disease or they are wildly incompetent.

Well I guess Gov Honor code knows best.

He seems to have the crystal ball on these things.

3 months?

How can any small business survive three months of no work and no profit and no business?

And even the ones that do survive? How can anyone expect them to just get back to normal?

Day one will he cuts to the bone and massive layoffs.

He said it is based on the 8 week recommendation made by the CDC last night.

Agreed. I am fine with the two to three week stand down to see where we are. Painful, but worth the effort.

Beyond that, I think we need to get on with life and the business of the country. Unless this is much deadlier than it seems to be, we are just going to have to take the casualties and move on. We can't destroy our nation over this.

I’ll take the latter.

This is a post Katrina response. Every agency wants to prove they are doing the most and being proactive.

Whether the evidence points to the response being necessary is immaterial, it’s the show that matters.

i actually want full transparency and for them to release all public data and recordings of meetings so that we can properly judge their actions

Really? I thought you just wanted to blindly follow whatever they say without question as long as it means your daily convenience isn’t interrupted
