Jobs where guys will look you right in the eye and lie to you.
It’s wild to me that some places there is a culture where it is acceptable to just bald faced lie to customers.
I thought you were talking about your boss lying to you. That's happened at every job I've ever worked.

Car salesmen. I drive cars until they are falling apart, not because I want to, but only because I despise buying a new car. I HATE IT.
There are dealerships I have walked out of because they pull out the "four square" after I have already told them I have NO TRADE IN and I'M PAYING FOR THIS CAR IN CASH!
All I want is the least amount of money to pay. Tell me the OTD price and I'll make a decision.
They waste my time with stupid shite. I HATE IT.

You make a huge mistake. Don’t tell them you are paying cash upfront because the price will be High. Dealerships make their money on financing so they are willing to drop the price if they think you are financing a significant portion of the cost.
Tell them you want to finance 80% and negotiate for a lower price. Once they put the price in paper, tell them you are paying cash.

I bought a new vehicle in 2016. I'm talking to the financial guy and he asks if I want an extended warranty. I say no. He says what if I told you I can add 5 years on to your warranty for only $3 a month, would you buy it then? And I said yeah but that's not how much it will cost. He said yeah I know I just wanted to see what you'd say.
To this day I still have no clue what his point was.

work with these regularly and agree with you on contractors, but architects and engineers? How do they lie to you?
I routinely get verbal confirmation from my architect, only for them to question me when I ask for that confirmation in writing.
Usually the conversation ends with "So my word isn't good enough!?"
No, Bill it's not. Email me that shite.

Yeah, they did, you dumb bastard. They put 10 on the backside. They would have given you 15, but that's against the law.
New regulation makes it so all that shite is in your paperwork.

The new cars sales mangers at dealerships or whoever you talk to after dealing with the salesmen.
Dentists. I am convinced that you don't need 2/3 of what they tell you need done.
Auto mechanics--maybe not them, but the guy you deal with at the dealership or repair shop.
Real estate agents. They either lie to you or don't give a damn if you buy the property to not.

The world is a lot more enjoyable when you realize everyone is looking out for their interests first.

Did this last time I bought a car. Thought the F&I guy was going to have a stroke. He was sooo mad.

I don't understand how it's so acceptable for the finance folks at car dealerships to lie the way they do.
That whole sector is ripe for Silicon Valley folks like Elon Musk to completely disrupt. Those people will be out of jobs in 10-15 years. Everything will be more streamlined.

I think it’s hilarious that people bitch about being lied to or screwed, and then do shite like this

The fact that your paying 22% interest on your pre owned Versa has nothing to do with the finance manager being a scum.........
