Just a heads up, private equity is about to fricking eat in this country. 2025 will be the year of consolidation.

Jersey Mike's is overrated, especially at $8B.

I'm sure it won't be long now before they start to suck. Need to go get me a number 13.

So if you're an owner founder, did you just sign a non-compete contract, or can you wait a year or two and then go out and do it well again?

Typical non-compete for the sale of a business is 5 years

Not sure about New jersey, but In Texas it's 2 years.

Never ate there, now never will. But if it was decent, the PE firm will ruin it. Like so many others.

Bummer. My favorite fast food sub place.

Did they buy Moe's SW Grille too? They used to have 3 times the toppings and ingredients. You could get damn feta cheese on your burrito. They are a shadow of their former selves. And more expensive than ever.

The only one that slices the meat right there in front of you. Does it make a difference? Hell if I know But it's damn good.

And Mike's Way? Fughhetabout it. Club Sub Mike's Way is about as good as it gets for me.

Someone else mentioned firehouse--my wife loves it too--it's just too thin and sweet or something.

I don't hate Subway like most of the others, either.

has gone to complete crap in the past couple of years. Even the reliable locations in rural texas are slow and get orders wrong. Im close to giving up.

I've been all over the country and have seen one Blimpie still in operation - it's in the fuel island building at the Iowa 80 truckstop.

CEO and basically the founder staying on. There’s a little hope it doesn’t go to shite, at least for a while.

The PE firm didn’t buy it with the idea to not make changes (find efficiencies).

It's not bad at all. I prefer Fire House but that's just a my preference.
