I’ve got a ‘23 4 door
Love it. Have had no problems so far. 40k+ miles. It’s a daily driver. A bit of a PITA to take on long trips due to its lack of aerodynamics but the adaptive cruise control makes things easy. Better gas mileage in town that highway (usually 16-17 mpg)
It’s got a 2” lift

If you like the wrangler, get it. My wife drove one for 3 years and loved it. She is 55 and not a lesbian. She hates the duck thing and when someone left one on her jeep she throws it away. She is friendly by nature so she doesn’t mind waving at folks. Reliability is about the same as most modern vehicles. Certainly as reliable as a bronco. Life is too short to let anyone try to shame you out of driving what makes you happy. My wife drives a Toyota now and is miserable. Will be getting another wrangler soon and could not give two shits what anybody says. She loves them. That’s all that matters to me.

If you want to drive one, just drive one.
At the end of the day, no one that matters is gonna really care what you drive.
And if you are happy with it, that’s great

I was interested in the Jeep Gladiator but my buddy's wife just picked up a 2024 Wrangler that she absolutely loved until electrical issues started happening within a couple months of owning it.
From what I've learned in my research into the brand is that they can be fun vehicles but you better learn to wrench on cars or have a good relationship with your mechanic. Not all of them have the issues but there are a lot of them that do have issues.
In regards to the whole "duck" scene, I would put that scene over "coal rolling" folks, Harley-Davidson riders and the "imports only" queers. The Jeep people get togethers appear to be more fun than aforementioned meets.

Not sure about the newest model with stock tires, but i drove a 2021 4 door wrangler with 35s for a little bit and that thing would bounce me around like a donkey. I hated driving it on the interstate. I got lots of compliments but i couldnt stand it as a daily driver.
Also hated the tech in there. I am old now and i want some luxury in my daily ride.

Just for show. Pulling power sucks. If you dont have a boat over 2500lbs then your good. Make sure you get all power and digi dashboard. Personally I gave up on them because I didnt want a v6 anymore. Great engines in them but I wanted a v8.

Quality issues, over priced, not the best ride for an everyday driver.
That said, I would still like to have another just for a weekend toy.

We have an '11 Wrangler and love it. Sucks on the interstate or for long hauls. Can be a grocery getter, with the backseats removed. It isn't practical, but it's fun. Like most people's first love interest.
They also seem to hold their value for resale.

Owned Jeep CJ7, 2000TJ and 2015 JK Unlimited. Only the TJ was bought new
All have been used as daily drivers with latter 2 also sometime vacation drives. 50mile round trip commute
Did 8000miles to Utah pulling a trailer with the 2015 earlier this year.
All have been modified by me or previous owner.
My opinion (biased as I have liked them since riding in a CJ-3B as a kid). YMMV
Pro:
- always a smile on my face while driving
- depending on top etc, can be made a convertible with no doors
- 2 doors are quite maneuverable
- fun on trails
- instant group of like-minded folks (if desired)
- easily modified to taste
Cons (most on newer models)
- quality can be suspect (not just jeeps it seems)
- can get sucked into modding and spending $$$
- getting harder to work on
- Jeep dealer service depts love your money
- front and rear solid axles mean a typically rougher ride
- can be noisier, esp if aggressive tires.
As others mentioned, Bronco is probably a smoother ride due to independent front suspension and is a newer clean-sheet design.
Test drive both, read reviews, browse forums and FB pages and pick your poison.
In the end, neither compare to their forebears IMO

Not all quacked up to their selling price, exorbitant aftermarket bolt-on parts and many of them don't go off road.

I love them, but would not buy one past 2020.

The oil pan is plastic, and Stellantis, the corp that owns Jeep/Ram/Chrysler, is a dumpster fire. They've rebranded and priced Jeep as a luxury brand when it's clearly just a cash grab.
If you want a commuter get something made to commute, not a performative off-roader that will never off-road.

It’s a lifestyle personality identification statement more than a means of transportation. More often than not it doesn’t reflect as a good person driving the vehicle.
It sucks this is the perception for people like me who has owned many Jeeps way before people douched them up like they have today.
I've had CJs, TJs, and JKs. Haven't bought a JL, but I do have a Gladiator, which I don't really like that much, but got a great deal on. I have been looking for another JK two-door as a beater. I miss my last one and wish I had never sold it.
BTW 2 doors Jeeps >>>>>>> 4 door college girl SUVs

Are you planning on going off road a lot? If not, zero reason to pay for a Jeep.
They don’t tow well nor are they a smooth commuter drive. Also noisy.
Do you just want to overspend and look cool for selfish reasons, or do you want a functional vehicle and save money for your family?

Try the Bronco too. Not the sport. The full size one.
