A $100 billion semiconductor company based in Singapore will legally relocate its home address to the United States, President Donald Trump announced Thursday.

Broadcom Limited, which manufactures communications chips around the world, said it would relocate its legal address to Delaware once shareholders approve the move, bringing $20 billion in annual revenue back to the U.S. The move will allow Broadcom to avoid a cumbersome federal review process.

According to Capitol Correspondent Kevin Frey, a technology firm with "Good paying jobs in the $70,000 range," will be headquartered in New Orleans.

One source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Frey the announcement will involve the largest number of permanent jobs ever produced in a single project by Louisiana Economic Development (LED).

That's the consulting arm right?

I ask because I work with some folks that have outsourced some of their tech jobs to HP. They have both DXC and HP email addresses.

They have a lot of Indian employees.

If one of the most significant economic development announcements in LA history is a warehouse with a shitload of forklift drivers, then JBE needs to take a tomato to the face during his speech.

It's gotta be in the billions

Amazon outright bought New Orleans East. They formed their own city called Amazonville with an aggressive Ivy League Technology School and they built a wall around it.

DXC is completely new entity created this year.

HP spun off their "enterprise services" arm and merged with Computer Science Corp. They are a multi-billion IT outsourced services business run by Mike Lawrie.

Pretty sure some of the HP people that I know have had DXC email addresses earlier than that. They seem to have a lot of employees overseas. It's at least partially outsourcing.

If Louisiana took that from VA where Moret and other LED alums are now working, the irony would be funny.

This could be a great addition to IBM and other smaller companies. Stop pipelining talent to Houston and other places.
