Friends of mine have kids who have to wear a mask. It was a topic of discussion one day and for the most part they said "they complained a little bit about it the first day, but that was about it".
I know. I don't have friends and I am making it up, blah blah blah.. But like someone who is a parent said to me and a group of others "we had to follow rules in school that didn't make sense, but if they didn't wear mask.. The second someone at school got Covid their parents are going to want to blame the school and everyone else for not taking the right precautions".
So calm the frick down.

Delta burned through. That's what viruses do. They get bad for a little while and then things get a lot better. Half the state wasn't wearing masks anyway.

Them being okay with it or not noticing it is not a good thing, you retard. This isn’t something that should be normalized in kids when it’s completely pointless and in many ways harmful.

The point which just flew right over your head was that you implied that NOBODY is obeying the order. The FACT is kids are FORCED to COMPLY.
Your response was that your kid relative said it wasn’t that bad. Ask him if he would rather wear it or not? If he says he would rather wear it to be “safe” then hope is lost for him.

I just got an email saying we will continue to wear masks regardless of JBE lifting the mandate.
I’m just pointing out it’s others making this a big deal. Not people on this board.
If they would simply say wear it or don’t, we don’t care, then I would agree with you there is a faux outrage. But that’s not what’s happening.

The fricking point is you always have second hand info because you literally can’t have first hand info when it comes to how your kids are treated

Complete and utter horse shite. What's worse, is even if this WAS true, what does that say about the assholes implementing the policy, or saying it about their own children?

Adam Carolla calls it "crate training" and he's right. The fact that you've gotten idiots, and unfortunately children, to get used to this as some misguided form of safety is NOT a good thing.

This. Our school gave us the “talk” this year about how they will quarantine and they finished it by saying just so you know if you child stays home from school will we not require an explanation (ie if your kid is sick then keep his behind at home until he is better and then send him back).
