It's interesting that a black dude from Kansas had to come down to New Orleans to 'get Whitey.'

49 years and no one has yet cared to change the spelling of “memery”

More like, In 49 years not a single soul who lives in that area is educated enough to even know that "memery" is incorrect.

Chuck Pitman was the CO of the USMC helos. He was later LtGen Chuck Pitman, Deputy Chief of Staff, Aviation when I was on the West Coast flying CH-53Es. We had an Officer's Call at the O Club that Gen Chuck showed up to. Let's just say, he was a bigger Liberty risk than us young lieutenants.

Great guy.

Been on the roof of the now-Holiday Inn when it was being renovated in ~2011-2012, there's still bullet holes in a handful of the bricks to this day.

I remember this day Went to see the Harlem globetrotters at the Loyola field house that day. A Sunday. Was driven across the bridge and tried listening for gunfire.

Because the same white-guilt, self-loathing progs who cry and moan about Confederate statues will be the first ones to call anyone a snowflake if they called for that mural's removal.

Fun fact. He didn't wait around for approval and just put his helos in the air. They were shooting at the sniper with belt fed .50's from the helo. A clear no no. He gave no fricks. We need people like that today.

We should mention this ad nauseam every year until leftist attempts to violently dismantle the social order stop.
