How about you send a Teams message with what you need, instead of, "Hi Jim, can you call me back?"

as a retired guy who volunteers at a golf course, I can tell you that there are tons of people playing while “working remotely .“ How do I know this… they admit it !!!!!
That's a sign of shitty employees, but more so a shitty company with terrible management. It's one thing for a wfh employee to do a little laundry or simple shite around the house in down time, and that really won't be noticeable because they aren't absent from doing work. If an employee can disappear to the golf course and it's not noticeable, why is that? what do they even do, why are they employed, why does their position even exist?
You can blame that on the employee, management, the company, but to say it's just because wfh, is a terrible answer to much bigger problems at a company.

I hear a bunch of jealous people working in the office and fight traffic and all the other BS.
You would LOVE to be able to stay at home , wash clothes, do dishes, and put food on in your time.
I feel sorry for yall.., I spent years commuting 30-60 mins, traffic, office BS, etc. life is much better without all that:::;

while you're on the company dime and supposed to be working? I think that was old baw's point

This isn’t difficult. If the work is getting done it’s getting done. If it isn’t it isn’t.
The fact they allowed 4 years of work from home shows the work clearly just have been getting done right?

I think his point was they're not being productive/efficient, all of the WFH folks on here are convinced they are but it's highly doubtful

I’d definitely agree with this. Young people not getting the real training on their industry other than webinars. Not getting the opportunity to network etc. For older established people they already have that, but if you’re just starting out working from home and not being physically present amongst everyone seems like it would be harmful to their career
Ding ding ding. If Jamie Dimon wasn’t working to remedy this problem, he wouldn’t be doing his job.

Your post is exactly why WFH is going to be minimized in the future.
The " I'll call you backs" and slow responses to emails and/or texts; management has had enough.
Top producers and rainmakers can do that, because their results are measurable and profitable.
The world has changed again and worker bees are easier to find.
Don't like it?
This is America; feel free to move on.

I prefer being in the office but like having a wfh option when I need it. Wfh is also detrimental to new or younger employees in my experience.
Agree on young people. But you don’t need to be there FT to assimilate and train.
Most of my enterprise clients have hybrid models. And the ones that claim to be back full time have 60-70% that work there 4-5 days per week. Except Exxon, they went back early; someone had to use their college campus HQ or it would become rat infested in that location.

He can suck it. Tired of him being an elitist who abuses the fine people of this country. Dude is an out of touch leach sack of $hit.

Ever notice how people who don’t have an objective argument against something go straight to the ad-hominems, expletives and “how I feel emotionally about this”?
Queue Jamie Dimon saying that when he’s walking through his shiny corporate office on a Friday, it makes him feel sad-bad when he sees it empty.

Then he should say that and provide some data that provides evidence to that fact.
Which he obviously doesn’t have, because if he did, this wouldn’t be anything for him to go on an unhinged rant about. He’d simply call back the unproductive remote workers and let the rest crack on. Easy peasy.

On a relevant note, I found it hilarious that Dimon said he tried to call bank executives on a Friday to get things done.
Those execs are just repeating what they’ve learned to do and it’s an indicator that the management system he oversees doesn’t work. And I’m the one uselessly picking my arse.

Does Scruffy truly believe that there aren’t people who take working from home very seriously and are effective at doing so?
I thought Scruffy was smarter than that.
