There was a time when NO might have been able to pull it off, but it's about 25 years too late for that, and it's never getting better.

Everything you love about New Orleans would rob and kill half of all the non-English speaking tourists. Heat would kill a high percentage of the remaining half.

The last time New Orleans hosted a Super Bowl they couldn’t keep the power on.
But yeah, they can handle the Olympic Games.

There has been talk from time to time of a Houston bid, with some events spilling over to Louisiana.

Humidity baw. Those Yankees fricks would die.

You want Olympic athletes shot and killed?

The bidding process for landing the Olympics is corrupt as hell. What happens when IOC corruption meets Big Easy corruption? Who grifts who?

New Orleans is in 10x worse shape than Rio and those Olympics were a complete disaster.

It would be hard to tell the start pistols shot from the normal pistols shots.

I feel like SE Louisiana would be a natural host site.
Yeah, they can have the kayak competition at Bayou Segnette…

Yeah, the Super Bowl where the lights went off was really "nailed" haha
The lights going off in the dome actually help make that Super Bowl a better game in the second half..

Everybody would look like they were on the fencing team with all the body armor they’d need to wear.

The Olympic parties would be legendary on bourbon

this is stupid
nothing like 94° and 95% humidity to bring out the best in your athletic performance

Honestly, quality job here OP.
It’s just shiny enough

The locals would make it a massive crime zone. Lots of armed robberies and vehicle burglaries

New Orleans may once have had a shot at hosting 40 years ago, but I’ve always thought the unpredictability of hurricane season would be the end of any such bid talk.
Kinda see Houston as the same way but that’d be awesome if that ever happened
