January is typically the worst time at the gym. It's over crowded for the first month then dies off. Thats when I just switch to 5 am workouts.

As I stated earlier, early Mardi Gras will weed out the ones that are there for show. King Cake and beer at the parades followed by Valentines and Easter - they gone.

I used to not put a lock, but I've got 5 grand of worth of watch/cell phone/etc. In there so I put a lock now. If I was just changing clothes, no lock.

And I don't care how big and bad the OP thinks he is. He starts dumping people's clothes on the floor, there's going to be a whole group of guys in the locker room waiting to join in on that as whooping.

Good thing Ive switched to swimming more in the past month. Gym is definitely filling up, but still no one in the lap pool. Rarely have to share a lane.

Lay off the roids man. It makes you a little aggressive.

Welcome the fat people, bro. Ostracizing them won't make them less fat.

Right? Fat folks in the gym don't deserve getting made fun of, at least they are trying to better themselves.

You bump into me while I'm lifting, you're begging for an arse whipping

I would be careful about that. That other person's options for responding at that point will be:

A.) Have your arse arrested and also bring civil litigation against you. You and your wife will be working second jobs to pay off the suit.

B.) If they are licensed to pack ..... draw your own conclusions. Is it really worth your demise to act like some high school kid?

Time to grow up.

It better be a max rep or damn near it. Grunting doing reps is worse than the fricktards that do curls in the rack.

Put a lock on your freaking locker. If I open a locker and its full of shite, I have been known to throw it on the floor.

At ease, Francis

I like the 12 month and only go in Jan newbs. Keeps my membership dues down. My friend's wife gets a new 12 MO every year to a different gym and goes a dozen times.
