It’s 5:30am in Broussard, La. Already 81 with a feels like of 87. It’s gonna be miserable today. Be careful out there.

At the moment it’s 80 with a heat index of 88. The high today is supposed to be 102 with an index of 115.

That was terrible.

Lakefront airport in New Orleans went like 2 weeks without the feels like dipping under 100.

Definitely felt the summer hit this week though. Went from manageable to miserable

I remember around 2000, a full week of 100+ temps in BR with Biloxi showing a heat index of 123. Understanding how the dew point mixes in with the temperature helps you to predict how much crotch rot you're in for on a particular day.

And the forecast is two straight weeks of triple digit temps.

Hoping and praying that my AC units last. We are avoiding cooking inside.
