Also the guy just moves on and already has a whole new family within 3years of something this tragic? While defending her and divorcing her at the same time? Whole thing is odd.

Oh it's absolutely a cultural issue. Laypeople using therapy speak in general is an issue as a whole (and Stout's post is a good passive example of that).
Women tend to rely more on the social media aspect like TikTok. The therapy speak part isn't exclusive to women though. I've worked with my fair share of couples where a man will call his female partner "Bipolar" or "Borderline" when they're not. Sometimes they're just assholes with poor emotion regulation.
Okay, and outside of yourself, do you see colleagues speaking out against these laymen as you say and their misrepresentations that further distort the realities of actual issues? It seem like a prevalent issue that, in this case women, are being fed a steady dose of affirmation when they may be better served hearing reality. I think that's the point that original guy was making.

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about PPD, but are her supporters claiming that all women are capable and understandable to have a complete psychosis state that ends with murdering her helpless children? If so, there needs to be some tough conversations about how to handle child bearing and raising going forward.
Here’s another conversation that needs to be had.
IF all women are prone to murdering their own children at some point in their motherhood based on hormonal imbalance, can we truly consider them as reliably rational as men?
Maybe women need to take accountability (Ha!) for themselves as the weaker sex, emotionally as well as physically.

The "Lindsay was innocent" crowd got my post on this from a week ago deleted off here so they will be coming for you next

Can you explain to me how a self absorbed a-hole doesn't pretty much cover that or are you disputing the definition?
Just because someone has a trait of being self-centered, doesn't mean they have a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, an excess need for admiration, and a profound lack of empathy.
You have to meet at least five (5) components in order to meet the diagnosis and it cannot be explained by other potential mental health conditions or substance use:

I only scrolled through the first page because watching two different women consciously and with intent turn on cameras so that they could video themselves screaming while throwing ice at bathtubs was enough for me.
Performative insanity.
Performative insanity.

I think they do but it gets lost in the algorithm because they're not over the top about doing so. Or you will have people that will just go try to seek another clinician.
I think the growing prevalence of "life coaches" also muddies the waters. There's no accountability for them from an ethical standpoint but they can claim they're doing mental health treatment without licensure. And it's not uncommon to see a therapist who has lost their license for all kinds of reasons to jump into that field.
It's also worth noting that getting on social media like TikTok and putting that info out there is an ethical violation minefield and that doesn't help the situation. It's not surprising that a lot of claimed professionals that utiliize that platform end up not being licensed.

The fact that you read his post and your mind immediately jumped to whether you've seen colleagues do these things on social media speaks volumes.

Just about every debate with a feminist you'll see at some point has them taking shots at the guys penis. It's so odd.
They're fixated on it. It results in chronic and occasionally severe acute penis envy.

Yeah, I feel you.
I was dating this girl who had a life coach.
Then I found out the life coach was dating Kenny Bania.
I had to break up with her. I couldn't date a girl whose life coach willingly listens to Kenny Bania talk about soup.

He asked if I've seen fellow therapists speak out against the layperson, therapist speak.
The reality is most people access news and content via social media these days. People aren't reading medical journals or newspapers. It would make sense to try to combat the issue on the medium that laypeople are using to gain the "knowledge". Unfortunately, it's not conducive to spreading the word if it isn't over the top or sensationalized.
Not sure why that bothers you so much.

I have a neighbor who was telling me about the case and how she thought the dad was guilty. it was the first I had heard of the case. I looked it up out of curiosity and found that Clancy's entire legal defense was that she was insane when she committed the murders. not that she didn't do it. her legal defense team's position is that she's guilty. WTF. I now realize that my neighbor is bonkers.

TBH, your list sounds a lot like the modern tik tok influencer. Like, every single one of the things on that list can be observed.
1) Call her daddy is the #1 global female focused podcast and it frequently focuses on finding high value men and hardly never focuses on what the females bring to the table. How much more self important can you be than to believe someone else must bring elite traits to simply have the luxury of being with you, even if you bring nothing but yourself to the table in return?
2) How many women have found themselves preoccupied with the sex and the city, corner office, corporate climber lifestyle? Terms like boss bitch, girl boss, high value woman have become pervasive. Is that not a preoccupation?
3) See point 1. How many overweight women who don't work, cook, clean, or really do much of anything are supported and told they are queens and beautiful the way they are and he's the problem if he doesn't see it? Seems like an unrealistic view of being special to me.
4) Are we going to pretend that thirst traps and posts for attention that require multiple steps, including a tripod, aren't a glaring attention seeking behavior and a quest for admiration?
5) See points 1 & 3. Why are you entitled to a high value man, (6 feet, 6 figures, 6 inches) when you bring nothing of value in return? Why should men protect you at their own perile? Why should you get a seat if the bus is full? Why should I get up to let you sit? Why do you get the lifeboat and I have to drown? Why do I have to sign up for the draft and you don't? All seems pretty entitled.
6) Exploiting others like accusing men of sexual crimes as a means of extortion or using marriage laws to manipulate men in divorce proceedings to finance your lifestlye even if you blew up the marriage?
7) See above points 1,3 & 6
8) We going to pretend women aren't catty and messy with each other?
9) Honestly, the whole list covers this one.
All in all, there's a reason why so many women, some estimates are close to half, are projected to be single in their prime marriage years in the coming decade. The modern woman not only exhibits most of these traits, but they actually celebrate and push them culturally.

Is everyone who disagrees with you either upset, bothered, emotional, or gay? Is that how you cope?

Whoa, dude...she has a therapy degree, and because of that she can easily diagnose all of us by simply reading our message board posts
Have some respect. If she called you gay, then maybe you are gay and just don't know it yet.
Take advice from a licensed therapist and go have some gay sex.

I'm not even tyring to be a jerk with her but her diagnostic list for narcissism looks a whole lot like the modern western woman these days.
Like I said, call her daddy is the number 1 female podcast on the planet and it tells women FREQUENTLY that they need to be having tons of sex with tons of people, live for themselves, screw over the Frickboys, get their money up and THEN, finding a high value man that is wealthy, fit and also okay with you having slept with 40 guys to take care of you. And if that high value man comes along and doesn't want to be with someone with a massive body count, THEY'RE the problem and, of course, their dick is small anyway.
How delusional can they be?

This is true. I agree, in a vacuum, it's also a reasonable thing to say. In context in this thread, it's reasonable to say too.
But what guys see in this saga is women going "same, Lindsay, same" on social media and giving her money and blaming the husband.
Social media has created an environment where every individual situation is an indication as society as a whole.
