Pimp C could play 6 instruments. His dad taught him how to play those instruments. His step dad taught him how to read & write music himself. His beats were well known because of his infatuation for live instruments. He could play instruments, his favorite was the organ, write, sing & produce.

Huh. Seems like he was a musician.

Yet you wouldn't call him that judging him from his appearance.

I can't be the only one that thinks Biggie is the most overrated rapper of all time?

Disagree wholeheartedly. Notorious Thugs and Mo Money Mo Problems are both in my top 10 favorite rap songs of all time.

Well I'll let you judge for yourself then.

I Gotta Thang was recorded in 2000 but it was some funk that sounds like it was straight from the 70s.

Pimp C I Gotta Thang

Fly Lady was a collaboration with Jazze Pha who also can sing & has a background in live instruments. It's why I mentioned him earlier in this thread. The track is produced by Jazze Pha & he sings the hook.

The album Ridin Dirty is filled with tracks that display Pimp's singing & tracks with live instruments but Bumper & Grill didn't make the final cut with Jive Records to get on the album. It's still a favorite of mine because it features Pimp on the organ, N.O. Joe on the bass but I'm not sure who is the violinist though.

Chad Butler puts you in Sunday morning service with his organ play behind Bun B in verse 2.

No argument here but he also gave the world the first glimpse of Beyonce & Destiny's Child.
