It only took 6 hours to get from Metairie to Orange beach…

West bound accident at the Mississippi/Alabama line had the Eastbound traffic backed up, went around 90 at Pascagoula saved about 30 minutes. West bound was backed up 7 miles. Then we hit the tunnel traffic at about 6:30, came to a standstill, finally get out of the tunnel, constant start stop traffic all the way till the Baldwin Beach exit…. Left the house at 2 got here at 8, in a driving rainstorm.

This can't be right. I thought the economy was too awful and gas prices were way too expensive for people to travel outside of their suburbs. That's what I have been told all year from the news and of course the panicans. I bet the panicans will never miss a day of Braxton''s travel ball with his shiny new $600 baseball bat though

The interstates ( especially I-65) will be like that from now until after Labor Day.

They’ll just put it on their credit cards and go further into debt.

I can’t imagine how crowded the beach is gonna be with people blaring Morgan wallen and Luke Bryan from their Bluetooth speakers

Have fun fighting for a spot and baking on a hot beach with sand in your creases. Surrounded by trashy people.
I’ll never understand it.

Doesn’t matter what time you leave. Left Metairie at 10am and didn’t get to OB until 3pm. Rain the entire way had traffic going 50mph most of the way, then tunnel traffic, and a massive wreck on Baldwin Beach Express. Absolute grind of a drive with 1.5 impatient kids in the back.

To me, the beach is the only relaxing vacation… I can sit in a chair, drink, look at the hot moms while my wife can’t see what I’m looking at, and relax.
Like now, I’m sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee with a nice cool sea breeze, listening to the waves crash, and watching a fat guy, with no shirt, fishing.
Besides, it’s usually only once or twice a summer..

At least you didn't have to drive I-12 from the split in Baton Rouge till it hits I-10 again. That is one crappy drive from the rough road to idiots in the left lane and for some reason is always crowded and has slowdowns.

The highway my man, not the speed…

I just don’t get the start/stop shite… You’re on the Interstate, no lights, stop signs, nothing. And the idiots who feel like they need to ride up your arse, and weave in and out traffic like they’re on their way to do emergency surgery…
People don’t know how to fricking drive today…

I get the beach but that area…no. The wife and I started going to Lido, Siesta Key area. Less trash and more relaxing. Stay in more of a resort where there’s more to do than just sit there and be miserable in the hot sun and hearing blaring speakers from every direction. .

Only 600 I guess you only want Bryaxxtyn to hit bloop singles. I care about my Jaxxtyn his bat is actually made of petrified ice cream drip its only 36 payments of 225.00 at 29% intrest, I know it seems like a lot but he is dominating 5/6 coach pitch.
