The one in Roger's, AR has really gone downhill in terms of menu, food quality, talent of waitresses, and business

They expanded too fast without the leadership in place to maintain quality. Some of the locations are unrecognizable aside from the walk ons name

Only thing I really ever get there is the Tuscan Chicken with rice (like it was originally served) instead of mashed potatoes. No real complaints about that particular item, but the service in all the ones I typically go to is pretty subpar.

We have one being built in town. The building looks like it's been finished for quite a while from the outside, but it's still not open.

The one near me is doing well, but Houston (particularly The Woodlands) likes their chains. I never really liked Walk-Ons that much personally.

That being said, it has to be one of the worst climates to run a restaurant. Rising wages pricing out decent help, constantly rising food prices. All of these factors force restaurants to have to raise prices, reprint menus, reduce menus, all in an effort to make razor thin margins.

Struggling? Far from it. Thats like saying Canes and Chick-fil-A are doing the same.

Idk like said before liked the one in New Orleans. Went to the one Shreveport area and it was almost inedible and waitresses were very plain looking.

Florida has places with way better seafood.

I was with you up until you said this. I was really surprised at how poor the seafood selection was when I lived in Florida. It was easier to get bad barbecue than good seafood.

I got served beer by some tranny looking dude at the one in Houma a few weeks ago. It’s also empty. No good looking women rolling through. Honestly post Covid really sucks. No one goes out anymore.

The one in Pensacola lasted about a year. It was expensive AF to eat there.

As someone who has visibility in the food service space - I own a QSR and lend to the food service industry, amongst others - it seems most restaurants have been struggling.

Walkons needs a big space and I’m sure the franchisees are renting. That’s a huge cost to them right out the gate.

Went to one in Alex Saturday

My little girl got red beans rice
I got buff chicken sammich

Both were great

One in Monroe is always solid

Last spring ate crawfish at one in zachery and they were awesome as was everyone else’s food.

Pretty much all walk-ons In Louisiana are solid.

I was going to say the same thing. Living in Florida I am surprised how hard it is to get good seafood. Here in Orlando there are really two decent legit seafood places I'll go to. Any other seafood place I've been to in Orlando outside of those two wouldn't make it past 3 months in Louisiana or Mississippi.

Even Tampa IMO doesn't have great seafood options. Typically when I want really good seafood I go over to the coast. There are some places in New Smyrna Beach, Titusville and Port Canaveral that I enjoy.

The one by Disney never could get fully staffed and was never busy. Food and service were lackluster. Was very disappointing as it was only 10 minutes from my house.

That's what I heard as well and it was obvious. I actually knew a server from the I-Drive Walk-On's who transferred to the Disney Walk-Ons to help train the new servers and help open the store. Take this with a grain of salt (one person's opinion) but she said the atmosphere for both front of house and back of house was pretty toxic. Bad enough to where she transferred back to the I-Drive location.

Like you I was disappointed as I was also only about 10 - 15 minutes from the Disney location. It was also nice because unlike the I-Drive location it didn't involve getting on the disaster that is I-4.

I knew the Disney location was in trouble after the I-Drive location closed and I definitely had that sense right before it did close. Kind of a bizarre story but I didn't feel like making dinner one Sunday night about a month ago and went to the Disney Walk-Ons. Not kidding I was literally the only person at the bar. Given it wasn't a good Sunday night football game but the fact there was a football game on and I was the only one at the bar told me what I needed to know. I think there were maybe 3 tables filled in the entire restaurant.

I just knew the location was going to close. I just didn't expect it to be that fast.

I have heard the one in Zachary is not doing too well.

I know at least one location in San Antonio closed as well.

When you are a franchisee paying 7% off the top in royalties, your restaurant needs to be running like a Swiss watch..

I was up there about 6 weeks ago on a random Tuesday night and it was laughable.

Had an untrained high school girl eventually take our order and it went down hill from there. No drink refils. Cold food. Close but wrong orders. Old waffle fries. It was a complete sign of poor management.

I wanted to like it but I’m not going back. Once upon a time at the one by campus, I would get a great redfish poboy and hot fresh waffle fries. But no more.
