The one by Disney never could get fully staffed and was never busy. Food and service were lackluster. Was very disappointing as it was only 10 minutes from my house.

And yes one of the things that made walk ons great at first was the wait staff. They were going for a hooters vibe with the girls but with southern food. But it being todays shitty world they went away from that

Walk ins in particular…no.

The problem is that discretionary consumer spending is changing in this world of inflation. People are going out to eat less. Waitresses are earning less in tips for the hours they work. That’s bad for Walk On’s and all of their competitors

It's surely a thing and I'm surprised I haven't seen it at my place yet

Well that doesn’t make sense because the restaurant got started in Louisiana. It literally took off in an area surrounded by seafood.

Perhaps you miss the original plan of walkons. Darin, who was hired from Sammy’s, hired big tittied hot girls to serve decent food in a restaurant that had a lot of tvs. That plan worked very well. Then they got away from it.

Last visit a couple years ago I was entertained watching a middle aged guy at the bar try to impress the cute bartender by lip syncing a Michael Jackson song that was playing, using his straw with a crumpled napkin on top as his mic.

She completely ignored him, even though he was right in front of her, never even making eye contact. But he was committed and hung with it for the whole damned song. One of the funniest and most pathetic things I ever saw.

Not to change the subject but CCs has gone to absolute crap from 10-15 years ago. Not one slightly courteous barista out of ten and they don't even serve their basic bagels or cookies on plates anymore. Just give it to you in a bag and charge ten bucks for that and an iced coffee all they do is have to pour in a cup.

they just opened one last monday in Little Rock. It was booked through the week, reservation only.

They are in a prime spot so we'll see if they manage to maintain or not

There’s one that they built in a booming area around Grapevine/Colleyville, Texas in DFW over a year ago and it still hasn’t opened. There’s probably 10 different restaurants that have opened in the same area since Walk Ons broke ground.

Even at the original location, the service is not as great as it used to be.

That’s an understatement.

Couple of weeks ago son wanted to go…I thought surely they couldn’t mess up fried shrimp even if they’re frozen…. Well the texture was off, looks like they breaded and fried pre-cooked salad style shrimp, had that orange kind of color/dense meat. Just going to stick with burger or wings if I have to go back

They had freezer burn. Classic signs of it.

I agree that their quality has gone down tremendously. Some of their hamburgers and sandwiches are damn good, but other than that it is JONK.

Anyone else noticing the trend of employees being a problem? People will blame it on management but there are way more employees than managers

Their chicken fingers are more expensive than Canes and that's saying a lot.

Food isn't anything special and most of the time they have the generic 3 ESPN channels on with MLB network playing in December. Might as well go to Twin Peaks and catch syphilis
