It’s funny I went to a doctors appointment last year and got my physical and I told my doctor everyone says I’m too skinny and he says I’m perfect with all my stats and the reason they say that is because our perception of what skinny has changed over 30 years
I look like a normal person did in the 50s and 60s and 70s.
Now, when 75% of the country is overweight and 45% obese, People think a skinny person looks sick

The obesity epidemic in the 70s is a real thing. You don't go from 15% obesity rate to over 35% in one decade at the same time poverty rates increased and sugar consumption rates increased purely by coincidence.

It's not either or but sugar consumption, HFCS, processed foods, etc was the largest contributor in the 70s.
