Is this guy trolling? (Model trains, and awesome hats edition)

I can't quite put my finger on it, but this guy started posting in a model train group I follow recently. Here is a recent pic he posted.
Here is another...
For reference, the group is pretty serious. These are other pics posted there by other members.
Fwiw, no one has said anything, and his posts got lots of likes. If he's special, then that's awesome that he has a hobby he enjoys. But part of me is skeptical. It's mainly the hat.
Am I being judgmental, or are y'all picking up what I'm seeing? The OT has heightened my troll senses.

Looks like a guy that is limited, but having fun.
Worse things in life than falling victim to someone trolling with this story. I would rather get trolled than potentially make fun of someone who could be special but just trying to share a hobby.

Judging by his bed, the posters on the wall, and the stuff on the top shelf I would say he is serious and there is a good chance he is mentally handicap.

Yes, I have kids and we have a train set. I just found the group one day and started reading. Lots of threads that follow layout construction start to finish. Quite interesting.
