It isn't as bad as people who go watch actual real trains in order to count the number of cars that are them.. This guy who use to work at the same place I did..
Recognize any of these people?

So what's wrong with model trains??

It's far more likely that this guy isn't trolling

Dude. He is quite obviously special. Just be supportive of him and give him nice feedback. It will make his day. Seriously.
Absolutely
If he's a troll, awesome. Serves you dorks right.
If he's not, dude should definitely be made to feel the love

I agree with the board. He looks like a special guy with a passion for trains.
When I zoom in on the wall pictures, two of them look like him getting Boy Scout awards.
Be nice to the dude.

If the guy is special, your train board should do a gofundme and hook the guy up with an awesome setup.

I have a soft spot for people with special needs. That shite can absolutely crush me.

If you're part of that group that runs model trains in Jackson, say hi to my dad. He's always bringing food for everyone.

Thats why I assume if your into model trains as an adult you are special or a sex offender.
Jesus Christ. It's a nerdy hobby, but it's painfully obvious you have no idea what you're talking about. My dad's model train club has members spending thousands and thousands of dollars on trains that run on their own steam powered engines.

Wow you're a dick for posting his pictures here, obviously the dude isn't "trolling"

I sold my entire o-gauge layout in February after having built it up for 15 years.
It took me about two months to inventory everything I had into an excel spreadsheet for the sale.

What did that go for?

My dad runs G Gauge and American Flyer.

I live near a park that sits against a railroad crossing and there is a group of these guys that meet every saturday. They even film the trains. To each his own I guess.

It's perfectly reasonable that dude might be special. I would rather go along with a troll than call out someone genuine, especially in that sort of situation.

I have a friend in Harvey that has a 100' x 900' deep lot that built a 1' gauge "ride on" train...he laid every tie and rail and built most of the locos. It has about 1200' of running loop and trestles.
Little kids absolutely love it. The locos are electric motors, not live steam.
Live steam locos can run upwards of $50k.

Did one person buy the whole setup, or did you piece it out? If someone buys it all, will they generaly change it up significantly or leave it as is? It seems the whole point of it would be building it from the ground up to personalize the setup.

They made a movie that actually was about a man whose hobby was watching trains like that. It has Peter Dinklage in it, the guy who plays Tyrion in A Game of Thrones. It's an excellent movie about making human connections with people.
