If it was an amicable divorce then who cares? There's a child involved so it's probably a much healthier situation than most divorces. I have a few friends who are still really close to their exes, they just no longer worked as a couple.

don't get that, at all, and not knocking it, I'm just not wired that way, seems like if you took the vows and things got so bad that you have to break it up, that would preclude a close friendship post marriage

It certainly seems like the situation could cause confusion for the kid; however, them being friends is better than it being a contentious situation in which the child is a pawn.

Depends on the breakup. I know my mother and father can't be in the same building.
But i know couples that broke up but still are friends, even good friends. they just couldn't live together. Hell, I have a friend whose divorced parents spend christmas together with their new spouses. Grandchildren are a helluva a drug.

The little girl is adorable. I would be grateful if my ex wife married someone that loved my little girl and was happy to cooperate when it comes to visitation, weekends, and all of the stuff that makes those situations complicated. The posing for the pictures and broadcasting it on social media is a bit much.

I’m friends with my children’s step dad. They’re friends with my girlfriend. We all hang out together because we’re adults and it’s good for my kids. If being civil for the sake of children’s happiness is being a cuck than so be it
