Nah, it was the person using the card at the ATM who was released.
Might be the only thing in this whole clusterfrick of a story that hasn’t really changed. LOL

Actually.... on the last page:

quote:

UWK previously reported that a man seen using Millard’s card at a ATM was questioned by Baton Rouge Police Tuesday and later released. Sources have clarified that the man was not using Millard’s card and was simply withdrawing cash. He is not connected with the case.

Yeah, and it was just sort of thrown in there. The first 27 pages of this thread were based on the "knowledge" that someone other than Millard had used Millard's card at the ATM.

Then "wham" - oops.

I've read most of this thread and the reported story keeps changing; that said, it appears that the person released from custody was not the same person that made the small purchases at the Chevron.

Is that Chevron/Exxon open after midnite or were the purchases made Thursday morning??

Per Google, the Chevron on St. Ferdinand closes at 11p most nights and 10pm on Sundays. I'm assuming that doesn't restrict gas purchases via card.

The Exxon near that bus station closes at 10p every night.

Interesting observation.

The good news though is Baton Rouge's gleaming reputation is once again being dragged through the news cycle thanks to FNC:

Fox News: Georgia executive disappears after night at LSU basketball game, Baton Rouge bar

Perhaps Nathan Millard was just doing his part to help us pull a Lori Lightfoot on SWB.

I like how the official source in that article is some random dude, identified as Millard's high school friend.

If Millard is making these withdrawals, that changes things significantly

Are they saying this or just that the guy questioned earlier didn’t use Millard’s atm?

Audio is less than a minute

BRPD Chief discusses the Nathan Millard case on Talk Louisiana

“More than likely it did not happen in the downtown area, where he was, but that’s what the investigative effort is going to tell us,” said Paul.

The article and reporter says this happened Feb 29? Geez

That’s enough to depress a man enough to just end it all.

Yet all his shite was found there. Sounds like he is covering their arse already for another half assed investigation. Maybe he was taken somewhere else but he was taken from that area still.

Yep, he’s already chalking it up to Nathan being somewhere he shouldn’t have been.

I think dumbass is all but admitting the guy is probably dead but trying to claim the murder didn’t happen in downtown BR.

If you get kidnapped in downtown BR and your body gets dumped in Erwinville, WBR, they can try to claim it should be on Erwinville’s statistics.

Surprised he did not go directly with the magic word "targeted", once that word is spoken BPRD and SWB are fully exonerated of everything

I wonder what the "it" is that he's talking about because something happened downtown.

Yeah the idiot, MP is downplaying everything. I would bet they are withholding video surveillance in an effort to try and make this go away.

Devil's advocate -

They could be withholding video evidence because it shows Millard engaging in some shady shite.

The cops don't have to release video to the public.

As an airline pilot, we used to stay at a hotel downtown. I used to tell the rest of the crew to NOT go walking around downtown and especially not at night. Eat at the hotel and stay in the hotel. Unfortunately, out-of-towners have no idea how dangerous downtown BR is.

What? i used to walk to and from the casino when i lived downtown. it literally isnt any more dangerous than LSU is.

Before long, anytime someone googles "LSU", the majority of results that come back will be all murder stories. Allie Rice, Maddy Brooks... Nathan Millard? Seems just a brisk walk through campus puts you on a faster trajectory to be murdered faster than any other SEC school.

We can at least hang our hat on that one.

We're the undisputed SEC Champs of Foul Play.
