Is there a more glaring sign of the infantilization of our country than “Cosplay?”

Hey, I’m all for do what you want on your own time as long as you’re paying your taxes and it’s not harming me and the family. On the other hand, we used to shame weird shite a lot more than we do now, and we are worse off for it. What is the deal with grown frickin adults dressing up as comic book characters and attending conventions dedicated to this behavior? The geek culture is OOFC. Time to bring back the wedgie in full force.

Too many lame superhero movies and not enough bullying. Before he gets on the bus today, tell Braxton to give the quiet kid in home room a swirly.

The good part of cosplay is sluts in skimpy costumes

There have always been weirdos. Now we have Instagram and various social media outlets to make it easier for them to have a voice.

Besides they also brought about this kinda stuff.

Out of all the weird shite people do these days, cosplay barely makes the list. If at all.

You know there’s photos and videos of women on the internet without clothes right? Besides, scantily glad women folk is not the point of this thread. Talking mainly about the man children.

Totally get this. Yet on the other hand, my wife and I drive 6 hours one way every year to dress up like pirates for the Texas Renaissance Festival. We dedicate one weekend to letting loose and we get to be someone else for awhile. Have a blast every year then it's back to the real world come that Monday. My friends know about it, but not many at work (I'm scared they will judge me and I'll get wedgies).

The decline is real. By the time it's noticed by enough people it will be too late.

While she is fine, she is definitely not the norm for cosplay girls

Yeah. But for everyone like that girl, you have 10 of these....

And truth be told, I’d bet 99.9% of the hot ones are not really into this cosplay thing at all. I’ll bet the people throwing the convention do a casting call for models and pay them to dress up and walk around knowing this will attract even more dorks to come.
