Tennis parents are fine. And if they suck, you don’t have to sit next to them.

My dad and I caught lacrosse on ESPN one afternoon and watched it. Couldn't believe it wasn't bigger down here. Those guys were beating the shite out of each other with those sticks.

It's like soccer with weapons.

Guarantee that if it becomes popular, some mom will get using the sticks for defense banned so their little precious doesn't get hurt.

It's nothing to do with the sport. It's the luck of the draw. This is the first year we ended up with a fun group of parents. On hotel stays we play Pedro till 3 in the morning getting hammered.

Not a sport but showing dairy cows. It’s a smaller group compared to other livestock so everyone is like family.

Why is it about you?

Let your kids do what they enjoy and deal with the shite that comes along with it.

Soccer is just a notch above (or below depending on the chart) baseball parents. Youth Football is pretty ridiculous too.....I’ve coached it for 7 years and it gets worse every year.

Swimming. Most parents (unless they too were swimmers) don’t have a clue what’s going on as far as training, race strategy, & technical aspects. They let the coach do his/her job. Again, there’s always that exception...

I have coached in BRSC for years now, my team are for the most part misfits. I have 4 real players but its fun. Its sad to see how many parents and coaches take it so serious and yell at those kids.

We practice twice a week and work hard. All I care about is they dont quit.

My daughter is in gymnastics. She’s extremely fit because of it. Some parents are douches but it’s an individual sport so that’s their problem.

She loves it and finds it rewarding so all good.

Just watched Searching for Barry Fischer for the first time in a long time. Apparently chess parents where travel ball parents before travel ball was a thing.

Rodeo?

It has its good and bad. Girls events of course are the worse. Parents can buy the 100k dollar horse and have $200k+ status symbol truck and trailer so their little Hailey can win every time.

But for the most part it’s pretty damn wholesome and genuine. My son competes in bareback and bull riding. Ole Glory is still presented at every rodeo, everyone stands and removes their hat, it’s always followed by a prayer that includes giving thanks for blessings.

My son usually travels with 3-5 other young men around his age that also compete against him in the same events. They cheer each other on in victory and defeat. There is actually a legit competition to be known as the hardest working, honorable, respectful one in the group.
