Canada probably
not.

Beautiful country but missing aboot 2/3rds of the US’s diversity.

China, India, Argentina

Chile (ranked 38th by area) punches over its weight for diversity.

To echo others ITT, only Russia and China come close. And Argentina was also a good pull. As well as Chile.

India is also another one but none come close to the US in terms of scope.

USA is pretty goat as far as landscape diversity, but most of the big countries come pretty close, like China, India, and Australia.

China:

India:

Australia:

Never realized these were geographical features

More? Probably not. We are essentially a continent. But I’d venture that Russia, China, and Argentina have similar levels of geographic diversity.

That is nowhere near an accurate image of India. I don’t see one speck of trash.

Are they not a product of the surrounding economy? JD is produced in a dry county though.

That was my first thought. A lot of diverse geography across Australia.

Russia, China, India, Argentina are all pretty diverse.

Mexico is not far behind.

Only 2 “countries” that come close are Russia and China but still pale in comparison to the good ol’ USA.
Maybe also Argentina or Brazil?

No

New Zealand for its size being so small is pretty unreal. Mountains, beaches, prairies, thick forests, etc

That doesn’t make them geography.

I'd say Brazil, India, or China could show similar diversity of geography. The only thing that Brazil doesn't have that the US, China, or India has is really high snow covered mountains.

California alone beats most countries.

It has…

1. One of the hottest desert regions on Earth by peak temperatures.

2. The lowest point in North America.

3. The highest point in the contiguous USA.

4. The tallest, largest, and oldest trees in the world.

5. Many miles of coastline that range from sandy beaches to mountainous cliffs.

6. Big valleys and waterfalls.

What does wine, whiskey, or beer have to do with geography?
Your reply is apt. As a side note though, we do have the climate to grow grapes that make wine. Not every country has that geographical privilege.
