I love when people use 1 pet they owned that seemingly lived to an appropriate age to explain why vets are a scam.

$700????? Why would you do this?

I hate seeing veterinarians charge almost nothing for services that require many years of education to master. Imo this lowers the value in people's minds

The OP is a troll or just a complete dumbass. I've never had the vet school or any other DVM offer any service that I couldn't refuse. Based on his posts here, I'd say he is an extremely self centered, shallow individual who shouldn't own a gold fish. Let alone a companion animal. His suggestions that vet med is a scam are cliche and could be applied to any profession.
I'd love to know what he charges for "import/export".

The OP is the type that buys a used BMW from Import One and then bitches that an oil change is more than $30.

The lady was a great client, I did all of her horse and cattle work. She talked me into the surgery, I had done it once in Vet school and didn't feel good about it. I recommended she take it to a Vet School but she trusted me and wanted me to do it and if it didn't work we gave it a shot.

Did the surgery and walked her dog out to her 3 days later, wagging his tail. My point is developing a relationship with your Vet allows such discretion on charges. Only using a Vet for emergency and getting your vaccines and other meds elsewhere limits that discretion.

Biggest scam is funerals. 10K for a decent one. They prey on people's sorrow to sell shite like a used car salesman.

Viking funerals man. They had it right.

A canoe and a can of kerosene. Of course, a decent archer will cost you extra.

I am in the same boat and I wouldn't call it heaven. I actually get to points where I go to random places just to interact with people and find shite to do. It sucks when you are on your 5th day straight of no IRL human interaction unless you are just a weird antisocial cat then I don't see how you call it "heaven".

I cut my bill in half a couple of weeks ago. Vet wanted to run all kinds of tests. I said no. I made the mistake of saying yes a year ago and was told my dog had 4 months to live. She is still alive today and more sprightly than when I took her in a year ago. That's when I knew it was a scam and swore to never take the dog back to the vet unless the kennel forced me for vaccines.

Ive had three large dogs, all lived more than 13 years. I started skipping the vet after about year 8.

Never missed half assed clients like the OP "leaving" except that they usually show up when an emergency occurs and want cheap miracles.
