You do realize that isn't the point. You are choosing not to easily prevent a horrible disease for an animal that can't make informed decisions for itself. Only because you think the profession that spent years of their lives, are likely hundreds of thousands of dollars debt, and have a starting pay of 45k is a scam.

Eat a dick dude.

I do realize that. My dog is better than almost any human being I've ever met.

Also, I'm arguing with you on multiple threads at this point, so for the sake of efficiency I'll contain it to here from now on. Though to be fair I'll admit I was the one to start it in the other thread.

I started a thread once to see what people get out of petting their dogs because I get nothing from it. I see the same animal crazies still frequent the OT.

Not animal crazy at all.

I discipline my dog, I'm not a fan of cats, and there does come a time to put animals out of their misery. I hunt, cook, fish, and eat everything imaginable.

What I don't do is make an animal suffer. Especially ones that are pets of mine.

Just know facts before you starting shitting ona profession you have no clue about. They look out for the animals best interest because of people like you.

Honestly, if the dog does have heart worms, that has little to do with age and has everything to do with negligence as a dog owner. But what you do next is up to you. I'm just asking that in the future you never own a dog again. Fair enough?

To be clear, my dog does not have heart worms. I already said I'll never own another pet of any kind.

Finally, a silver lining. Although I do feel sorry for the poor dog that had to be the one for you to learn that lesson.

My dog is happy and healthy, well fed with a comfortable bed of her own. I don't understand why you guys keep insisting my dog is somehow abused or mistreated. I just refuse to cave to the vet mafia tactics. The fact that it has not hurt my dog in any way seems to upset some of you.

I know nothing of the vet mafia, although if they were to ask me to join I would take a pamphlet.

I don't think you abuse your dog. Ranking you on a scale of 1-10, where 1 is a crazy dog person who carries them in a stroller and 10 is a dog fight ring leader, you're probably a 5 or 6. But dogs want nothing more than to be loved by their owners, and they look to their owners to keep them safe, and I have a feeling that yours has never felt that.

He does have a point about some vets. They are fricking crooks.

If your dog lives inside and your in town. There is less than 5% easily that can get heartworms.

I had one dog that wasn't on heart worm prevention and she only lived 2 years. I had a boxer live 14 years and he was on heartworm prevention and he cost me around $1000 in vet bills throughout his life. He died of cancer. I spent $1000 on an Australian Shepherd puppy last year and the neighbor ran over him. I'm getting another aussie Friday. I'm putting a fence in the backyard so he doesn't run close to the road and he is alot cheaper than $1000. He will also be on heartworm prevention.

There is no scam when it comes to a vet. Take care of your pets and they don't need a vet often. Dogs have a purpose. I will enjoy my new puppy.
