or do I just own a piece of shite?

I've gone cheap. I've gone expensive. I decided to grab a Kobalt 40V on clearance at Lowe's and I probably won't ever go back to gas.

Mowed the lawn at the new place for the first time today. Need a weedeater, I'm probably buying a Husqvarna 128LD tomorrow.

I got a 15 year old echo in my shed. That I never had trouble with. But I am in love with my battery powered weed eater.

Got an echo a few years ago and never had a problem since. I'm scared just typing this though.

Battery power. Things like weed eaters they are perfect. I wouldn't go for a mower that is battery powered though. Tried one out a couple years ago and bitch died fully charged before one lawn was done

And you are alive to talk about it so that’s great news. Started doing this around the kid play sets in hard to get areas. Also, I guess I bought the crappiest version of a Stihl Years ago because a straight up PIA and POS. I hate it but refuse to realize it as a sunk cost and get a battery powered because I’m stubborn.

I did away with gas. Bought a 40V. That decision eased a lot of frustrations.

Ryobi 40v here. It's perfect for my smallish yard.

Honestly that brand is a waste of money if you have a smallish yard and an extra battery. Ryobi is half the price and has served my lawn perfectly for 1.5 yrs. $440 for mower, weedeater, blower attachment, and extra battery/charger.
The cheapest ego mowers alone are $400.

Try them now. I mulch my yard on lowest blade setting and have run out of juice once when grass was wet. I have a spare battery though. The mowers are great.
