NLU/ULM is the only other school in the state to win a National Championship in football. (Excluding HBCU schools)

Louisiana Tech's football program has three NCAA Division II National Championships (1972, 1973, 1974)

The University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) football team has won one NCAA Division I-AA National Championship. They achieved this in 1987.

I lived in N La all my life except for a few years in Lafayette. People in S La are generally more approachable and friendly. Food is much better. I coached little league and couldn't get over how easily 11 and 12 year old kids cussed. Every other word, not just when they were upset or mad, just in routine conversation. After many laps, most of them cut it down a lot, but I realized it was part of who they were and didn't react when they slipped. Some really good ball players. Still have some good friends down there.

Why don’t you baws understand at 99% of eateries all this shite comes off the same fleet of Sysco trucks?

You think every restaurant south of I-10 is operating fresh off the boat? I understand there are a couple that do... But 99% of eateries in south LA use the same Sysco truck baw.

It's hard to compare the people because South La doesn't really have people. They have a disgusting hodgepodge of low bred genetic mutants who are more gargoyle than homo sapien. They wallow in their fetid, oil soaked wastelands of shite and despair and grunt and click at one another extolling the virtues of the only property in the northern hemisphere deemed worthless enough to transplant the sorry collection of thugs and criminals they call their forefathers. They speak of places like North Louisiana like it's an all encompassing area filled with the same type of people. They are completely oblivious to the geographical differences of the western pine tree, meth, neck tat, pit bull, MMA country and the gentile quintessentially Southern paradise of the eastern delta country. They come from places like Opelousas and Norco and Sulpher and Crowley and Prarieville and have the ignorant audacity to deem their pathetic existence to be somehow better than a place 2.5 hours away, that they have never been to. It's quite comical really.

I grew up in CENLA and both my parents are from Abbeville…the lifestyle and food are very different between Alexandria and Houma or New Iberia.

Lived in NWLA for 13 years. First several years only saw Cowboys hats and shirts. After the Saints won the Super Bowl, I seen a lot of Saints gear. I think their loyalty changed as the Cowboys haven't done much in decades.

North Louisiana offers nothing unique or interesting. It’s an entirely unremarkable region with nothing going for it.

This guys appears in every thread about N. La. with negative takes.

What happened my dude? Did Big Ced touch you? Even the girls at Wild Orchid wouldn't talk to you? Lose all your money at Cash Magic?

I can't count the number of crawfish joints we have in Shreveport/Bossier. Even more fried seafood places. Gumbo not quite as much but still quite a bit.
