The chicken is cooked, but not all of the ingredients in the chicken salad are cooked together at the same time.

A chicken salad takes cooked chicken, seperately cooked eggs, and seperately prepared mayo and other condiments and combines them together after the fact. The same is true for tuna salad. The ingredients are cooked seperately and not combined until they are each individually ready to eat.

Jambalaya combines raw rice, meat, onions, water, and oil and cooks them down together. They are not ready to eat until the entire dish is finished cooking.

This is a really stupid troll.

Licking someone between the butt cheeks is called tossing a salad when, in fact, it’s tossing a sandwich

Cooked carrot salad

gargle on that

Also with your definition of a salad - a sandwich would be a salad.

Ingredients brought together but not cooked together

False. It's a pie, because it's baked together in a unified crust.

The only difference between a salad and a sandwich is that the sandwich is bounded in bread. The salad is not. For example, a burrito is a wrap (a sub-category of sandwich), while a burrito in a bowl (i.e. without the tortilla) is a salad, not a sandwich.

It's a grey area. It's a wrap, (which is in the sandwich family), but it lacks bread (the primary component of a sandwich).

I would argue that a lettuce wrap is not a sandwich, same as a sushi roll is not a sandwich.

I say no. A hot dog is still a hot dog without the bun. You can serve a hot dog by itself or in something else like Frank & beans. Much like chicken salad or tuna salad is still just that without being sandwiched between or surrounded by a carb-like substance, a hot dog exists outside of being surrounded by a bread substance.

A "hot dog" is not a sandwich.
