They are prepared exactly the same, only interchanging the proteins.
However, Creole Jambalaya and Cajun Jambalaya are two completely different dishes because despite a similar name, they are prepared differently and have very different ingredients.

Of course it’s a sandwich because it has the components of a sandwich, and furthermore, this may come as a big surprise, but gumbo is a soup, because it’s has all the components of a soup.
