Is the Bywater area in New Orleans (where Joint BBQ is located) safe?

I may be headed that way and it seems sketchy. I need to know if I should be prepared to pucker my cornhole

Only safe part of NOLA is the safe assumption that you’re in an unsafe area if you are in NOLA.

There are no parking options. The street. The Bywater is a neighborhood and it’s safe.

Food is o.k. Parking wasn't an issue and it seemed safe enough.
