The Joint was the only decent BBQ option post katrina then all these smoke masters started coming into town in droves.

I've never heard it referred to as a "teapot", but if you live Uptown east of Napoleon you generally want to be between St. Charles and Magazine.

You can link whatever you like if it makes you feel better. But New Orleans residents mostly say THE Bywater. THE Marigny. THE Lower Garden, THE Irish Channel, THE Warehouse District.

Some neighborhoods get it, and others like Uptown, Lakeview, Bayou St. John don't.

Yeah, the Irish Channel sucks. No one wants to live there.

Don't worry brah, if they have never heard a large portion of the population call it 'the marigny' then they are being belligerently dense.

Real gatekeepers refuse any answer except Faubourg Marigny.

It's pretty good. Try McClure's on Tchoup, too.
