I'm college educated. Bachelors Degree, and I manage a retail store. Make okay money doing it to.

Not writing in cursive is a sure sign of lack of education

Mine is awful, but I'm pretty ambidextrous. Can do just about anything with equal skill in either hand. When I was in kindergarten I could write with both hands. My teacher stopped this and forced me to pick a hand. I chose the right hand, but it was the wrong decision.

You need to focus on something more exciting if youre going to work in retail.

I have done the same with certain things. Sometimes I think we are all supposed to favor different sides for different tasks.

I don't think handwriting is enough to judge intelligence. Look up Einstein or Bell.

Who writes letters and documents at work?
Honestly filling out paperwork by hand at places like the doctors office is a chore. A lot of places allow you to fill it out ahead of time via email or through their webpage

Only if they can't write in cursive.

I can write neatly, but it takes a lot longer than people who inherently write neatly. It's become much worse because I'm out of practice. I can go months without even signing a receipt.

do they even teach cursive anymore? I can't see how it's useful anymore, it's going to go the way of calligraphy.
Op can you read this sentence written in math form?

There's a difference between bad/sloppy handwriting and handwriting that looks unevolved from 2nd grade penmanship.
Posted on 12/29/15 at 5:49 pm to Bonkers119
hardly anyone has to write much more than a signature these days.
they dont even teach cursive anymore in many school districts.
on top of that, doctors have always been notorious for shite handwriting.

It's quickly fading from elementary school curriculum, a decade after it probably should've.

That's kind of what I was talking about. People that still write in what looks like scribble scratch. Clearly no effort to write neatly. It's really not that difficult, especially if you went through school your whole life.
