I only an undergraduate and have horrible hand writing.
But if I'm writhing a letter, I typically have my secretary type it for me.
Do you not have a secretary or admin assistant?

Nope, I can't even read my own handwriting sometimes

Mine was pretty good, till college.
1 semester
Organic Chemistry, Quantitative Analysis, Calculus, Accounting, Computer Programming
next semester
Organic II, Physical Chemistry, Calc 2, Macroeconomics, Systems Analysis
Back in those days, no laptops to take notes on, it was good ole pencil and paper. Completely destroyed my handwriting.

I encounter many learned people with bad handwriting but I rarely see uneducated people with good handwriting.

My handwriting is God awful. Came out of high school with a 3.95 gpa and a 31 on the act. Currently have a 3.3 gpa in college. I'm gonna go with no

Not writing in cursive is a sure sign of lack of education
Nope. I haven't written in cursive since junior year of HS. My elective that year was drafting* and I decided I like my print on drawing labels better than my cursive. My printing has degenerated since then but I earned a BS and MBA.
* Do they even teach that anymore? This was before CAD was common.

No, it's a sign that they DGAF. My son is in his 2nd year at LSMSA in Natchitoches and his handwriting hasn't improved since third grade. Meanwhile, some of the dunderheads I teach in middle school could teach a calligraphy class.

My handwriting is normally awful. I can focus on it and take my time and make it look pretty, or I can value my time like I do and use my terrible handwriting to get far more important things done

Sounds like some probability calculations using Bayes Theorem are in order. Hop to it.

I actually read just the opposite. That intelligent people tend to think much faster than they can write, and they can't reconcile it, making them rush into poor handwriting

I'm told I have child-like handwriting, but I think that is because my handwriting actually looks like the handwriting I was taught in school not some kind of weird cursive-print hybrid that most people do these days.

I have excellent handwriting but its definitely not correlated to anything other than maybe a combination of natural artistic ability and how much you are pushed to practice handwriting as a child.
My father is a doctor and his handwriting is God awful. He has zero artistic talent and was a middle child with 7 siblings so I'm not sure how much he was pushed to practice it when he was a youngster.
My mother on the other hand is uneducated, grew up on a farm where her immigrant parents worked, never graduated high school due to my pops knocking her up at age 15 and is probably slightly below average in intelligence. However, she is a GREAT artist and has masterful handwriting. She does calligraphy sometimes as a hobby.

no, it's a sign of someone who thinks the time it takes them to write like an adult is more important than the time it takes you to decipher the chicken scratch of a retarded five year old.

I'm an engineer and my handwriting appears like an angry third grader.
