Indeed. Seems everything is more crowded and a hassle now. A friend was just telling me her daughter flew in from CO and the airport was stuffed full and so was MSY on arrival. Like Christmas. I miss the days in the past couple of years where the scaredy cats stayed home.

Newark is absolutely the worst airport in the country. Just flew there into terminal B and had to go to terminal A. We took a monorail to a bus which dropped us off in front of terminal A. Might have been the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in an airport. To top it off, we had the biggest jerkoff in customs. Literally stared at every single persons passport for 5 minutes. The guy next to him cleared his line out about 3 times by the time 4 sets of couples went through. You could tell the douche was on a power trip.

Then when we get into the terminal, nothing was open. It was 8:30 PM. They had signs for restaurants coming soon but that was it. The terminal was fantastic as far as cleanliness and the potential but it was too late. You can only polish a turd so much.

That's a brilliant idea. Will use it next time I fly out of ATL.

Nothing beats the Emeriates terminal in Dubai

Never been, so can't speak on it.

The best I've ever been to was Singapore Changi. It's like a Disney resort/Vegas hotel:

There’s a shuttle that runs around the clock if you absolutely must. I only use the international side, even for domestic travel. It’ll make your life much easier. Everything is connected, and I’d rather spend more time on the plane train than wading through herds of people to drop bags and navigate security lines.

The airport shuttle took 20 minutes to arrive last weekend and there was a line in front of me to get on. Then by the time it's my turn it was too full for me to get on. BTW the Groome shuttle only picks you up at the domestic terminal.

LGA has the nicest Delta Skyclub in the country now.

SLC, LGA, LAX, and Kansas City all have great, new Skyclubs.

No. LaGuardia is the worst. The work they’ve done has helped but it’s God awful in the non renovated areas

They are about to finish the revamp on terminal C. The last bit to renovate is shite but it’s come a long way. I’m not a fan of LGA but it’s not the worst. It’s an easy transfer there with Sky Priority and Clear, along with club access.

how can it be worse than Atlanta
I will never understand that. ATL is my favorite airport to have a layover in. They literally have everything you could want or need there

How many of our Lafayette baws have flown out of the new airport there? They did a great job with that place.
was a massive upgrade. The old LFT was a total shithole

The revamps will help with being in the terminals. But its location will always make flying into there during summer months a pain due to the numerous delays.

Atlanta’s is pretty damn nice.

This.

If you’re any sort of frequent flyer, then you’d know Atlanta has their shite together and is a good layover or starting designation.

I have been to Newark twice and don't remember it being particularly bad. That said, the old terminal at MSY is what I was most used to at the time.

I’ve never had issues with the C terminal at EWR since they revamped it. Spacious with plenty seating and food options.

The city of Newark is definitely a shithole though and getting to NYC can be a bitch.

There is a difference between connecting and originating in ATL. Forcing every terminal to go through a single checkpoint made my life enough hell that I learned to fly out on Sunday afternoons instead of Monday morning. This makes even PreCheck suck, because there are hundreds of shiny frequent fliers in line with you.

ATL is also subject to delays due to summer weather. I loved sitting on the tarmac for hours because the ground crews can't load/unload planes due to lightning.

For you all that fellate Delta, I will admit that MSP is very nice to transit through.

Tell me you've never been to Dulles without telling me you've never been to Dulles.
