Me and you both.
Hell I work for myself, and I am very well off because of it, but still, that's what I mean: let's all stop acting like we wouldn't shut down the whole "Work and the stress of work is fun- no matter what!" with the quickness if a multi-million dollar windfall profit didn't all of a sudden fall in our lap.
"No matter what," my arse.
Virtue signaling sons a bitches.
And to be clear, I'd still work. I'd work my arse off, and I'd hire all my buddies, but we'd be doing baw chit like damming up hollers to make lakes and doing guided helicopter hog hunts and chit.
However the actual outcome, and therefore the stress that comes from having to succeed, would be irrelevant and nonexistent.
Who wouldn't take that over the ratrace?
It just seems so shallow and stupid...because it is.

99% of companies that you would want to work for have corporate recruiters that use Linked In as their main recruiting tool. If you are interested in being visible to them, having a Linked In profile is important. Participating in the feed is not.

Truth. Participating in the feed can only hurt you.

The worst are the "Leader/People Developer/Inspired Solutions Provider" and shite like that.
I will say, though, there is a ton of good content on there if you follow companies and organizations that put out papers, research, and the like.

VP of global solutions ? I’m convinced when it’s a vague title like that, the people that hold those jobs do absolutely fricking nothing. I like (head of sales) in parentheses. You’re a fricking salesman dude.
One guy calls himself a "change agent." He used to be a purchasing manager. He also strings together "strategic, dynamic, and top performing" in one sentence. He's been unemployed 3+ years.

Not reading all your trash but I hate LinkedIn. Every week i have at least a dozen "if you're not creating 12 new prospects from LinkedIn in every day, we should chat! Heres a link to my calendar "

Who reads the feed on LinkedIn?
At least the 95,000 who reacted to Ms Hyacinths stupid arse post

Nailed it. I don’t care about your podcast or your selfie video explaining 3 tips for enhancing your personal brand.
The trend of recent college grad, Lebron-decision posts is cringe-worthy too...
“After four years of maintaining a 3.4 in Southeastern Louisiana’s prestigious Business Administration program, I’m pleased to announce that I have signed on as a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual!”

I don’t spend enough time on linked in to even see people comment dumb shite like this. I have a job and have no reason to be using linked in

Had a regional that would post quotes about inspired leadership constantly.
That HR and VPs would always be the only likes on and current/former employees would avoid touching (literally never saw a direct report like/comment/share her posts)... it always amused me how oblivious leadership there was. Within about 18 months the existing team under her all left, and the replacements were all leaving.

The people who use LinkedIn are either self-important corporate do-nothings with vague job titles who love to abuse buzzwords or annoying losers with no real skills such as real estate agents, financial advisors (Northwestern Mutual), or HR/Recruiting/Whatever consultants who haven’t done shite in their own lives.
It truly is the worst social media.

I like to laugh at the shity companies that think they’re clever and unique with stupid titles.
Come work here where we have “IT ninjas” and a “Chief Content Jedi.” We’re totes different.

Anyone who has “disrupter” in their title is guaranteed to be a douche bag.

cringe-worthy is being nice.
That’s pathetic

I can’t stand the bullshite fake stories that are supposed to be “inspirational” like the Brigitte Hyacinth one.
The popular thing now is for single moms to post about overcoming challenges and getting thousands of likes.
Basically the only reason I have one now is because I’m single and I want potential dates to see I’m a real person.
